When is the departure?
The trip will take place between April 3 and 18, 2025.
What can I take with me in my luggage?
Airline size and weight allowance: Each airline has its own rules regarding the size and weight of hand luggage. We will discuss these before departure.
What documents are needed?
Passport, ID card, flight ticket and ESTA visa. Other documentation, such as waivers, notarized parent authorizations and official school paperwork will be discussed and provided at the in-person meetings.
How much spending money will be needed?
You will need very little spending money apart from the cost of the trip itself, but we will be visiting many places where having a small amount of pocket money might be useful.
Will there be an opportunity to wander around?
There will be breaks during the organized program when you can shop or take a walk, but at the end of our daily activities, you cannot separate from your host family and their safe home.
Who can apply for the trip?
We organize the trip primarily for high school students from the GIMI, but students and teachers from any other Transylvanian schools can apply.
